Peru likely to export 9000 MT of fresh Peruvian mangoes in five-year period
Posted by admin | Under Export, Fruits Wednesday Feb 3, 2010Peru is likely to export at least 9,000 metric tons (MT) of fresh mangoes – Kent variety – to Japan within the next five years after having announced the introduction of this product into that market, said the Peruvian Association of Mango Producers and Exporters (APEM).
According to APEM’s general manager Juan Carlos Rivera, the first campaign to benefit of this would be that of 2010 – 2011 since the Peruvian mango season runs from December to March.Source
