Ukraine: potato prices increased by 50% compared to 2009

According to the analysts of Fruit-Inform wholesale potato prices in Ukraine at the end of January 2010 were 50% higher than in the same period of 2009. Higher prices were caused by higher consumptions of potatoes and lower production, which decreased by 3-4% in 2009, according to our estimates.
